![]() “Survival” mode jacks up difficulty, disables fast travel and survival vision, and diminishes the heads-up display so that indicators and maps are absent. Days gone survival mode free#Days Gone is getting some free updates in June, one of them being a new difficulty setting. John rides that motorcycle without a helmet! Pray he doesn’t go the way of Country Mac. There are all sorts of zombies and wolves that pose significant threats. Minimap - Using Focus, will bring up your minimap, bike's health and fuel and your own health.Survival seems like a tough prospect in Days Gone. Whilst in cover, use focus before popping up and fire from there. Nothing changes in regards to this on Survival Mode, a single Molotov will not kill most Freakers though so be aware of that and throw double the amount in the mix and finish them off with the LMG.Ĭover - Use cover a lot, you can get nearly one shot killed with max health let alone with no upgrades depending how you've choosen to attack Survival Mode. They can catch up to you if you aren't sprinting so be aware of that when you are running around. Equip your LMG and mow them down whilst working your way back past your traps. Throw an attractor into the middle of the Horde (use focus to see where they are) and then unleash a few Molotovs and bombs. Be careful on approach because they hear you no matter how silent you are. These are best approached during the day as the horde will be 'sleeping' in which ever hole they call home. LMGs, focus and stamina pills, loads of traps and Molotovs. Hordes - They actually come in different sizes and the larger ones can become very overwhelming. On NG+ this is easy as all camps will be level 3 and you can get the max upgrades quickly. Get the bike upgrades as soon as you can, the best fuel tank and engine are game changers. Don't ride through water as it damages the bike very fast and also depletes your fuel and if its deep then you will lose the bike. If playing this on NG+ you will have access to everything and the special sniper too making it a lot easier.īike - The bike controls aren't the best, one small crash can kill you and wreck your bike so be prepared and have plenty of scrap at the ready. Nothing different between difficulties on this, just be prepared. If you are going against an enemy camp then use silencers, the crossbow and stealth kills. Loadout - Having the correct loadout is essential for the wide variety of missions, if you are facing a horde then use an LMG, Assault rifle and stock up on all your traps/Molotovs. If playing on NG+ you should have plenty of credits left over to not worry about. Days gone survival mode upgrade#Even bigger in Survival Mode as Freakers take a lot more hits to kill, upgrade to the biggest pouch as soon as possible and always buy ammo when at a camp. If you are playing Survival II on NG+ then its a lot easier as all your credits will pass over and you can upgrade your bike straight away.Īmmo - You can find ammo tins in camps and buildings but its always handy unlocking the ammo pouch for the bike and refill it whenever you are at a camp. Big note to Survival Mode is that fast travel is disabled so really keep an eye on your fuel. Other than that you can refuel using gas canisters found anywhere. At other camps it'll cost credit, which isn't an issue but if you come stuck then its a hard slug pushing the bike across the map. Days gone survival mode for free#You can refuel for free at any gas station which is marked on the maps and at Deacon and boozers first camp. Fuel - Always refuel no matter how much you have left, you can't fast travel if you haven't got enough fuel so that will not be help. ![]()
